No. Participants are welcome to join at any stop along the route. Whether you walk one mile or twenty-one, everyone is welcome.
Yes. Participants may join at any scheduled stop along the route.
No. Participation is completely free.
Registration is encouraged to help organizers plan for water, volunteers, and support resources, but registration is not required.

The walk begins at 9:11 AM on September 11th.
No. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation.
No. March to the Arch is not a fundraiser. Participation is completely free. Our goal is to bring people together in remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor those who have served our nation since.
Absolutely. Participants are encouraged to bring an American flag of any size and walk in remembrance.

An American flag (optional, but encouraged)
The walk is held rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing.
If you plan to walk the full 21 miles, consider bringing an extra pair of socks and shoes.
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing to help prevent overheating, blistering, and chafing.
Check the weather forecast and dress in layers if temperatures are expected to change throughout the day.
Eat a substantial meal before the walk.
Bring snacks to help maintain your energy throughout the day.
Consider increasing your carbohydrate intake the day before the walk.
Hydration is critical.
Water and beverages will be available at designated stops, but carrying your own water is strongly encouraged.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or a hat.
Pack a few bandages or blister pads just in case.
A small towel or cooling rag can be helpful on warmer days.
A waist pack or small backpack is ideal for carrying snacks and personal items.
Get a good night's sleep before the walk.
Starting the day well rested will make the experience much more enjoyable.
